Links to work with students

I am taking a course on K12 virtual learning to see how we can teach our students and even ourselves, to use the technology in a meaningful way and not only replace the whiteboard or tv with a video production.  i will try to share some things that I learn in here.

To begin, some teachers are recommending some web pages like: pbskids, starfall, which we already use, and they posted some more.  i have not browsed them, but hopefully you will comment on your expeirence with these web pages and even add more!

These are some:

  • leapfrog.com
  • jumpstart.com
  • coolmath-games.com
  •  readingeggs.com.au
  • http://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/en/
  • abcmouse.com
  • Zoodle is a good app for preschoolers.
  • Try to use Scratch! It’s a program designed to be fun, educational, and easy to learn. It has tools for creating interactive stories, games, art, simulations, and more. And it’s totally free! You can find more details here: http://scratch.mit.edu/
